CAIRO – 7 March 2024: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his accompanying delegation are participating in the seventh session of the joint foreign ministerial committee between Egypt and Kenya that is being held in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Thursday.

Minister Shoukry will also take part in a business forum, which will convene on the sidelines of the joint committee. The forum will involve the participation of 25 Egyptian private sector companies alongside the Kenyan companies, aiming to explore opportunities for joint economic and investment cooperation.

According to a statement by Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid, Shoukry is scheduled to deliver a message from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Kenyan President William Ruto during the event.

Furthermore, the Egyptian foreign minister will engage in discussions with his Kenyan counterpart to explore ways to bolster and deepen cooperation between the two countries. They will also consult on various regional and international matters of mutual interest, Abu Zeid added.

Shoukry's visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1964, continued Abu Zeid.
