CAIRO - 22 February 2024: Egypt’s argument at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) highlights Cairo's pivotal international role in revealing the truth about the Israeli war on Gaza, Jordanian MP Farras Al-Sawaeer has said.

 

Head of the Palestine Committee of the Jordanian parliament, Sawaeer told MENA that Egypt's and Jordan’s arguments at the hearing before the ICJ  prove that Cairo and Amman’s endeavors to uncover the facts of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza nowadays. 

 

Sawaeer said that Egypt and Jordan have been to partially change some international positions at a time when the United States does not back down from supporting the occupying state in international forums and with weapons. 

 

Jasmine Moussa, Legal Advisor at the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented on Wednesday Egypt's oral arguments at the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) hearings on the request for an advisory opinion on the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

In her speech at the ICJ, Moussa highlighted a 75-year history of displacement, dispossession, collective punishment, and daily indiscriminate and systematic violence and human suffering of untold proportions by Israelis in Palestine.
