CAIRO - 10 February 2024: Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, confirmed that during the coming period, youth and people who are differently abled will be supported through the Ministry’s electronic platform for environmentally friendly products.

The Minister of the Environment explained that youths have projects and innovative ideas that will be placed on the list of green projects, including the “Made in Egypt” project, and this support will be through networking with the electronic platform prepared by the Ministry of Environment for environmentally-friendly products. It will also be displayed in the store dedicated to green products, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh as part of the activities of the Sharm Green Initiative.

In a related context, the Minister said that attention will be paid to providing the opportunity for people of determination to participate in environmental and climate investment projects, by presenting appropriate investment opportunities that will be available on the electronic platform.

The recent period witnessed many advisory sessions for the Investment Resilience Project in cooperation with UNIDO and funded by the Global Environment Facility, based on: the interactive map of climate change (which predicts the risks and effects of climate change on investment in various parts of the Republic until the year 2100); the use of solar energy in the tourism sector and the implementation of the “Green Hurghada” project.
