President’s Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ahmed Azazi attended the meeting.

Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said the meeting discussed the state's efforts to develop higher education facilities in the country.

The president was posted on the work progress in projects, which aim at establishing new universities nationwide, added Fahmi.

The spokesman said that the higher education minister highlighted different viewpoints by the committee in charge of implementing development plans of Historic Cairo to recover the splendor of the city.

President Sisi ordered going ahead with studying these proposed plans in order to preserve the unique, heritage value and prestige of Historic Cairo and help citizens have easy access to facilities and services, in addition to upping green lands to ensure the citizens' right to clean environment free from pollution and linking archaeological and tourist sites in accordance with action plans to boost local and foreign tourism industry.
