CAIRO - 30 December 2023: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Saturday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat.

 

Spokesman for the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy stated that the meeting discussed national efforts to enhance multilateral and bilateral cooperation frameworks through the activation of economic diplomacy, especially in relation to supporting and empowering the private sector in Egypt.

 

In this context, Minister Al-Mashat explained that 10.3 billion dollars in concessional financing has been provided to the Egyptian private sector over the past four years in the form of financial and technical support.

 

In this context, President El-Sisi was briefed on the progress of the implementation of the "Hafiz" platform for financial and technical support for the private sector, which is the first integrated platform that connects development partners with the private sector and contains various services provided by development partners, whether at the level of financial support, technical support, investments, concessional development financing, and training and capacity building programs.

 

The President stressed the importance of continuing to work on enhancing the role of the private sector in the national economy, and providing it with the necessary support to achieve its growth and development goals. He also directed the Minister of International Cooperation to continue working with development partners to provide the private sector with the necessary financing and technical support.
