CAIRO – 25 December 2023: The World Health Organization (WHO) aims to deliver the necessary supplies and aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, said Margaret Harris, the WHO spokeswoman.

She added in comments to Al Qahera News that the Who is trying to send more aid to the Gaza Strip through Egypt, noting that hospitals in Gaza are very crowded with the injured people.

Some injuries are very critical and and require high medical expertise, she continued.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said on Monday that since October 7, 2023, Israel has killed at least 20,674 people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and injured 54,536 other Palestinians.

As of December 15, North Sinai's El-Arish International Airport has received 305 planes carrying 8,500 tons of relief aid, ambulances, field hospitals, and necessary equipment bound for Gaza since the start of the Israeli war on the strip, the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) stated.

Since the start of the war in Gaza, Egypt has dispatched hundreds of humanitarian aid trucks to Gaza. Egypt’s local organizations have accounted for most of the aid, while the country has continued to receive aid planes from numerous countries around the clock.
