Jordanian, UAE FMs discuss tension at Al Aqsa

AMMAN - 21 July 2017: Foreign Minister Ayman al Safadi has discussed with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nuhayyan efforts made to end tension at Al Aqsa Mosque.

In a phone conversation, the two ministers took up means of restoring calm to the area in a way that protects sanctuaries and establishes security, according to a statement issued on Friday by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

The two ministers underlined the importance that the international community should exert more efforts for ending escalation in the territories through guaranteeing the Israeli adherence to its legal and international commitments, added the statement
