CAIRO – 18 December 2023: Many Egyptian political parties extended their greetings on the win of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi of a third and last term announced on Monday in a press conference held by the National Election Authority (NEA).

Al Wafd Party, whose candidate came fourth and last in terms of votes earned, congratulated President Sisi, who received 89.6 percent of the votes, on the trust confided in him by Egyptians, who made a turnout of 66.8 percent, to lead the country during the current critical period.

The party commended President Sisi for waging war on terrorism and initiating many developmental projects over the past ten years. Yet, it noted that it would continue its role among the opposition in service of the nation.

Chairman of the Union Party Reda Sakr expressed aspiration for more achievements in the new term, highlighting that the win comes in an exceptional timing. He further stressed that the Egyptian people must support the political leadership to confront the internal and external challenges.

The Dialogue Coalition pointed out that President Sisi's win reflects the awareness of the Egyptian people in spite of the economic and security threats. It underscored that the priorities of citizens at present are the economic circumstances, and the containment of inflation and price hikes. The coalition further added that expanding social security was a must.

The Dialogue Coalition also showcased the citizens' concerns about the security tensions on the borders on all directions.

The Free Reformist Movement likewise congratulated the president, and expressed appreciation for voters domestically and abroad for fulfilling their patriotic duty by casting ballots in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Similarly, Chairman of the Neo Independents Party Hisham Anany said that the president's win reflects the effort deployed over the past ten years, and that the party had been supporting his running in the election.
