CAIRO - 9 December 2023: Hazem Badawi, the head of Egypt's National Election Authority, has emphasized the significance of Sunday's presidential election. He expressed confidence in the youth's awareness, the elders' wisdom, and the discerning nature of Egyptian women in all cities and villages.

Badawi highlighted the role of Egyptians abroad in kick-starting this electoral process."In fulfilling our national duty and constitutional right, we engage in the most crucial electoral commitment - selecting the president for the next six years," Badawi stated.

He further added, "Be aware that Egypt is the only country where the electoral process is fully supervised by judges. A judge at every ballot box is our primary guarantee of transparent and fair elections.

The National Election Authority has made it easier for voters to cast their ballots and introduced new methods for disabled voters to express their will. We are committed to ensuring the election results truly reflect the voters' will. Participate in shaping the future and respond to the nation's call."

Badawi also acknowledged the effective participation of Egyptians living abroad, despite geographical distances. "The great people of Egypt, the noble sons of the nation, have shown that while they may be physically distant, their hearts are with us.

They have braved long distances and harsh weather in some countries to participate actively in the presidential elections, demonstrating their strong sense of national belonging to the world."
