In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Egypt expressed profound condemnation for the collapse of the ceasefire and the resumption of intense airstrikes and Israeli military operations against the Gaza Strip.

The renewed hostilities have resulted in further casualties among Palestinian civilians, marking a grave setback and a disregard by the Israeli side for all efforts made in recent days to extend the ceasefire, aimed at sparing the lives of innocent Palestinians and securing the delivery of more urgent humanitarian aid to the region.

Egypt has warned against the dangerous expansion of Israeli military operations in the southern Gaza Strip. It strongly denounced Israeli officials' encouragement of the displacement of Palestinians beyond the borders of Gaza, considering it a blatant violation of Israel's commitments as the occupying force and all provisions of international humanitarian law, especially the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949. Egypt reiterated its firm rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians beyond their land as a red line that will not be allowed to be crossed.

The country renewed its call to influential international parties, relevant UN agencies, with the Security Council at the forefront, to fulfill their responsibilities in ensuring the protection of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Egypt emphasized the importance of halting attempts and plans to force them to leave their homeland, underscoring the need for the effective implementation of the resolutions issued by the Security Council and the General Assembly in this regard.
