The National Election Authority's operational center, led by Counselor Ahmed Bendary, continues its vigilance over the voting process of Egyptians abroad, ensuring seamless operations until the conclusion of the designated three days for polling.

In a series of video conference calls with ambassadors and Egyptian consulates abroad, including Lebanon, Switzerland, Marseille, and Berlin, Bendary emphasized the ongoing work of the election monitoring center. The central room is equipped with live television broadcasting technology to closely track Egyptians casting their votes at election centers within the diplomatic missions, spanning embassies and consulates globally.

According to Bendary, 106 polling stations out of 137 have been opened in 121 countries worldwide, commencing at 9 a.m. local time on Friday. The operations center will remain in constant communication throughout the designated days of overseas voting, ensuring real-time updates on electoral participation for transparency.

The National Election Authority has established the central operations room to oversee Egyptians abroad exercising their voting rights in polling centers within diplomatic missions across the world.

Voting for Egyptians abroad in the 2024 presidential elections commenced on Friday after the end of the electoral silence period and the cessation of campaign advertising for overseas candidates. The voting process is underway at 137 embassies and consulates in 121 countries globally, as specified by Resolution No. 27 of 2023 issued by the Board of Directors of the National Election Authority.

The authority, under the leadership of Counselor Hazem Badawy, has issued guidelines for the voting process of Egyptians abroad to ensure the accuracy of their participation. Voters are required to present proof of identity, either through a valid national ID card or a passport containing the national ID number.
