Egyptian Expats in Moscow Kickstart Voting for 2024 Presidential Elections

CAIRO - 1 December 2023: In a demonstration of civic responsibility, the Egyptian Embassy in Moscow witnessed a turnout of members of the Egyptian community eager to cast their votes in the 2024 presidential elections. This marks the first day of voting for Egyptians abroad, a process that will continue until Sunday.

Voters were keen on bringing their children along, emphasizing the importance of participation in the electoral process to support state institutions and fortify the foundations of the democratic system. Many were seen proudly carrying the Egyptian flag as they exercised their voting rights.

Since the commencement of the voting process, the embassy staff in Russia has been diligently assisting voters, removing any obstacles, and providing clear guidance on the correct voting procedures and requirements set by the National Election Authority.

Several voters expressed that their participation in the overseas Egyptian elections is a modest contribution to answering the call of their homeland.

It sends a message to the global public that Egyptians, both at home and abroad, are committed to supporting the path of stability and advancing the comprehensive development underway in the country.
