2024 Presidential Elections live: Egyptians abroad choosing their leader until 2030

CAIRO – 1 December 2023: Egyptian expats worldwide are choosing their leader for the next six years. Embassies and consulates in most of the world countries are open for voters in the 2024 Presidential Elections to express their will.

The voting abroad is taking place over three days from 1-3 December in 121 countries from 9 AM to 9 PM every day.

Four presidential candidates are competing in this election, including incumbent President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has been in post for two terms since 2014.

Other candidates are Farid Zahran, head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party; Abdel Sanad Yamama, Head of Al-Wafd Party, and Hazem Omar, head of the Republican People’s Party.

The four candidates have released their vision to improve people’s lives in the coming six-year presidential term.

The National Election authority published a list of the addresses of embassies and consulates where registered voters can cast their ballot. Here is the list.

- Scores of Egyptians in Jeddah cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Elections on the first day of the voting.

- Egyptians in Moscow express their voices in the Presidential Elections on the first day of voting.

- Numerous Egyptian nationals in Abu Dhabi line up to cast their ballots in the Presidential Elections and choose one of four candidates running for president for the next six years.

- Egyptians in Saudi Arabia continue to cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Elections.

- Egyptian nationals in Paris cast their ballot in the Presidential Elections. France is home to more than 350,000 Egyptians.

- Egyptians in Lebanon, Kuwait, South Africa, Germany, Italy and various countries flock to embassies and consulates to make their voices heard on the first day of the elections.

- Embassies and consulates in Italy, UAE, Slovenia, Rwanda, Algeria, Russia, Kenya, Austria, Uganda, Pakistan and countries worldwide welcome scores of Egyptians casting their ballots in the elections.

- Egyptian expats worldwide are choosing their leader for the next six years. Embassies and consulates in most of the world countries are open for voters in the 2024 Presidential Elections to express their will.

4:15 PM: The first day of voting in the 2024 Presidential Elections was concluded in each of New Zealand, Japan, Australia, and South Korea as it is past 9 PM now there.

4:00 PM: It is 9 AM now in Washington DC and New York. Egyptians there have started casting their ballots on the first day of the 2024 Presidential Elections. The US is home to around 250,000 first and second generation Egyptians.

2:15: PM: Egypt's Ambassador to Slovenia Nahla El-Zawahry cast her vote in the presidential elections.

2:00 PM: Egypt's Embassy in Tokyo concluded the first day of voting for Egyptians abroad as it is 9 PM now in the Japanese capital.

9:00 AM: The elections for Egyptians abroad commenced at 9 AM in Arab and many other countries. Voters are flocking to embassies and consulates around the world carrying Egypt's flags to make their voices heard.
