CAIRO – 22 November 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Wednesday King Abdullah II of Jordan at Cairo International Airport to discuss the ongoing crisis in Gaza Strip.
The two leaders welcomed the temporary truce asserting the necessity of a permanent one, and the uninterrupted delivery of aid in accordance with the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly's resolutions.
They also rejected the practices of imposing famine and collective punishment, stressing rejection to the internal and external displacement of residents. They equally underscored that the comprehensive and fair settlement of the Palestinian Cause involves establishing an independent Palestinian State having as capital Eastern Jerusalem.
