CAIRO – 18 November 2023: Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al Kila called for the opening of safe corridors to transport the injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank or Egypt to receive treatment.

 

She continued in a press conference: “There is an imminent danger that portends a health disaster in the Strip as a result of the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip […] Our medical teams in Gaza are being exposed to live bullets.”

 

Since October 7, Israel -in its war on Gaza, has Killed more than 12,000 Palestinians, including more than 5,000 children.

 

Also, 25 hospitals and 52 health centers were out of service in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the destruction of 95 government headquarters, and 63 schools out of service in the Strip.

 

Preparations have been taken to receive a number of premature Palestinian babies to the Rafah border crossing with Gaza, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, reported Al Qahera News on Saturday.

 

Two days ago, President Sisi instructed medical establishments to prepare for receiving Palestinian newborns from the Gaza Strip to join dozens of the critically injured, mainly children, who are lying in Egyptian hospitals.
