CAIRO – 12 November 2023: The United Media Services (UMS), Egypt’s largest media conglomerate in the MENA region, has dispatched six trucks of aid to the Egyptian Rafah border crossing to be sent to the besieged Palestinian Gaza Strip.

The six trucks loaded 150 tons of food and water to the Palestinians. The UMS convoy comes as part of a huge aid convoy consisting of 12 trucks sent in coordination with The Egyptian national social initiative Haya Karima.

The UMS has also launched a blood donation campaign for the Palestinians who have been under the Israeli shelling since October 7 which resulted in killing more than 11,000 civilians, including more than 4,500 children, and injuring more than 26,000 others.

On October 17, 2023, the United Media Services Company condemned in a statement the Israeli bombing of a Palestinian hospital in Gaza that killed hundreds of innocents, describing it as an unacceptable "crime" committed by the Israeli authorities.

The United Media Services Company said that it holds the Israeli authorities and the countries that support its crimes responsible for what is happening to the Palestinian people.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced on November 8 that it received 81 humanitarian aid trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent. This brings the total number of trucks that have entered the strip since October 21 to 650, averaging around 36 trucks daily, the PRCS said in a statement.

The delivered aidbincluded food, water, medical equipment, and medications, the PRCS said, adding that Israel has not yet allowed the entry of fuel to the strip.
