CAIRO - 25 October 2023: Arish Airport has received so far a total number of 41 cargo planes carrying aid to Gaza. 
 
The Egyptian Red Crescent received their cargo, unloaded them, transported them from the airport, and re-equipped them to reach the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
 
Dr. Khaled Zayed, head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, said that the total number of planes that landed at Al-Arish Airport reached 41 planes, transporting 864 tons of medical and food aid and urgent relief materials, in addition to 3 ambulances and 19 doctors.

He pointed out that the aid shipments were received by the Egyptian Red Crescent upon their arrival at Al-Arish Airport, and were transported to the Red Crescent’s stores in the city of Al-Arish, while the medicines were transported to the regional warehouse affiliated with the Ministry of Health in Al-Arish, and the aid, after being prepared, was successively transferred to trucks heading to the Rafah crossing, from where it was delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent.  
 
He explained that the shipments that arrived at Al-Arish Airport were transported by plane, from the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Program, the World Food and UNICEF, the Jordanian Charitable Organization, the Iraqi Red Crescent, the International Red Cross, Jordan, Turkey, UAE, Tunisia, Qatar, Venezuela, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, India, Algeria and Kuwait. 
 
In turn, the young men of the Egyptian Red Crescent continue their heroic role in unloading and transporting trucks around the clock.
 
Engineer Mahmoud Farid, Executive Director of the Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, said that youths are spread throughout all their work sites in Al-Arish. 
 
Saeed Mahmoud Mohamed, the Egyptian Red Crescent warehouses official, explained that immediately after the aggression against Gaza, the Red Crescent’s crews moved to help transport aid to the brothers in the Gaza Strip, which continues to be transported successively by land and air.
 
He added that more than 9 equipped warehouses have been provided in Al-Arish in stores provided by the governorate at Al-Arish Stadium and the gym, and others are being provided in which the aid that arrives is stored and prepared, and transported back on trucks to reach the Rafah crossing, in addition to storing medicines in the refrigerator of the regional medicine store affiliated with the Ministry of Health. In Al-Arish to protect it.
 
Dr. Raed Abdel Nasser, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, added that in addition to the Red Crescent receiving international and local relief shipments, the branch at its headquarters in Arish receives aid of all kinds that citizens can provide, pointing out that the donor is received, data on what he donated is recorded, and a receipt is given to him. Official receipt and then directing of the aid, which is added to the warehouses and prepared for transport to Gaza.
