CAIRO – 19 October 2023:  Egypt's House of Parliament agreed on sending telegram to President Sisi in which they will be expressing full support to all needed steps and measurements to secure Egyptian national security.

During an Emergency session for Egypt's Parliament, held on Thursday, the MPs also approved a proposal to send a message to the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in both languages, English, and Arabic explains their firm rejecting stance to the Israeli violations on the Palestinian territories.

Egypt's Parliament, represented by Counselor Ahmed Saad, the First Deputy of the Parliament, has issued an appeal to all world parliaments, urging them to adopt resolutions condemning Israeli violations in Palestinian territories. These resolutions are expected to ensure the protection of innocent civilians and adhere to international treaties and humanitarian norms.

The session was dedicated to discussing the implications of the situation in Palestinian territories.

This session convened amidst overwhelming popular support for Egypt's political leadership stance against the Israeli aggression in Gaza. President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has adamantly opposed the forced displacement of Gaza's residents to the Sinai Peninsula and has insisted on keeping the Rafah border crossing closed to foreigners without the entry of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
