CAIRO - 19 October 2023: In a powerful display of unity and solidarity, 42 Arab, Islamic, and Asian countries have agreed to participate in a joint broadcast with Palestinian television. This collaborative effort is organized by the Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in partnership with Palestinian television and is set to air this Saturday at 1:00 PM GMT for an hour.

A statement issued by the Union highlighted that various TV channels and radio stations from the participating nations will join the live broadcast of Palestinian television. The program will feature inputs from prominent political, media, and governmental figures. Among them will be Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, along with officials responsible for radio and television broadcasts.

It's worth noting that the coordination for this special joint broadcast was led by Dr. Amr Al-Laithi, President of the Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Minister Ahmed Assaf, the Head of the Palestinian Official Media. The initiative is aimed at showing support for the Palestinian cause and addressing the grave violations resulting from Israeli aggression.

The Palestinian television, through its extensive network of correspondents, will provide comprehensive coverage and a dedicated program schedule to convey the complete picture from Gaza and all Palestinian territories. This content will be aired on television and radio stations across the countries belonging to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, further underscoring global support for Palestine in the face of ongoing challenges.

The ministry highlighted in a statement that Israeli jets strike “everything and everywhere” in Gaza Strip, including schools, UNRWA schools, hospitals, bakery shops, establishments, factories, mosques, churches, and universities, noting that entire Gaza is being subject to ethnic cleansing.

The statement showcased that the Israeli occupation had been using violence against Palestinians in Eastern Jerusalem, killing 69, as well as in the West Bank. That is in addition to carrying out group arrests, imposing sieges, and storming into certain areas, such as what is happening now in Nour Al Shams Refugee Camp located in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry further accused Israel of deepening apartheid on the occupied lands and attempting to annex Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Eastern Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned Thursday that the prolongement of war gives sufficient time for Israel to destroy Gaza Strip.
