FM Shoukry meets members of CFR on sidelines of UNGA

CAIRO – 22 September 2023:  Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Friday with members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) on the sidelines of the 78th UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The meeting took up means of boosting relations between Egypt and the US, said spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Shoukry posted the CFR on the comprehensive development process taking place in Egypt, including the national dialogue, Abu Zeid said

The foreign minister also answered questions by members of the CFR regarding the economic challenges Egypt faces in the wake of the global economic crisis, the spokesman added

They also discussed the files of the Palestinian cause, the Renaissance Dam, Sudan and the Russian-Ukrainian war, Abu Zeid noted
