CAIRO - 19 July 2017: Dr. Magdy Yaqub attended a press conference Wednesday to sign a cooperation protocol between Zewail City for Science and Technology and the Foundation of Masr El-Khair to promote the quality of the scientific services offered to students and grant scholarships to Upper Egyptian students.

“Egypt needs science to achieve progress, and Zewail City is the beacon for science,” Ssaid Dr. Magdy Yaqub. Yaqub pointed out that “Tthe real fortune of Greater Egypt is its youth, and we must give the opportunity for young people to use their minds.”

Dr. Magdy Yaqoub, a member of the Board of Trustees of Zewail City for Science and Technology, confirmed that the ancient Egyptians used science to reach the renaissance we are proud of nowadays. He added that “‘science is the pursuit of truth, which we should always seek’. “Once we reach the truth, we can innovate to benefit humanity and reduce its suffering. Science is the baseis of everything, and no progress can be reached without it,” Yaqub said.

Dr. Yacqoub pointed out that the goal of Zewail Ccity is to secure an appropriate atmosphere for talented students from all over Egypt, encourage scientific research and innovation, contribute to provide modern scientific specialties, support scientific applications for research, and to provide educational and scientific research in an innovative manner.
