CAIRO - 19 Sepyember 2023: The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue believes that the upcoming presidential elections present a unique opportunity to forge a shared space among all constituents of Egyptian society.
This collaborative approach is seen as a foundational step towards the establishment of a new republic.
According to reports by the Extra News channel, the board emphasized, "We appreciate the proactive response of legitimate political forces, civil society organizations, and the general public to the presidential initiative calling for dialogue. Their extensive and constructive participation in the dialogue events is commendable."
Furthermore, the Board urges all active forces in the political sphere to perceive the upcoming presidential elections as a crucial milestone. This pivotal moment is an essential step in reinforcing the trajectory towards a modern, democratic civil state governed by the rule of law.
The National Dialogue released Saturday a statement on the specialists' closed session held Thursday to articulate a draft of proposals/recommendations brought up during public sessions on political parties' regulations.
During the drafting process, the specialists took into consideration the constitutional framework as well as executive circumstances. That is the first step on the road to submit the draft to the president of the republic as it first had to go through the dialogue's board.
The National Dialogue held on September 14, a specialists' session, within the political axis, on political parties draft law; political parties' integration and coalition; financial and administrative governance of political parties; and, specializations of the Political Parties Affairs Committee.
