Egyptian president instructs hiring global expertise to operate 'Arts and Culture City' in New Capital

CAIRO – 17 September 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi held a meeting Sunday to follow up on the progress rate of the implementation of the Arts and Culture City at the New Administrative Capital instructing officials to hire global expertise for its operation.

The president stressed the salience of making the most out of the city's capabilities, and maximizing its value to become a unique center for Egyptian cultural and artistic creativity.

The city consists of a rare books library, museum displaying antiquities from all the capitals Egypt had, arts museum, coin museum, opera house, theater, and concert stage.

The meeting included Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of Culture Nevine al-Kilani, Chairman of the New Administrative Capital Company Khaled Abbas, Chairman of the Armed Forces Financial Authority Ahmed al-Shazly, and Commander of the Strategic Command and Supervisor on Military Manufacturing Ahmed Khaled.
