CAIRO - 14 September 2023: Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar witnessed the inking of a memorandum of understanding between the Health Ministry and Athens Medical Group to cooperate in injecting more investments into the Egyptian health sector and improving the quality of healthcare services.

The minister's assistant for international affairs Hatem Amer signed the memo with CEO of Athens Medical Group Vassili Apostolopoulos.

Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the memo includes laying down a mechanism for training medical cadres, exchanging expertise between Egypt and Greece in addition to cooperation in the therapeutic tourism domain.

The Athens Medical Group, headquartered in Greece, is one of the leading healthcare providers in Europe.
