CAIRO - 11 September 2023: The evening show "Masa' dmc," broadcasted on the dmc channel, recently welcomed several young speakers from the Youth Session of the National Dialogue, focusing on the topic of youth empowerment in the political sphere.

Ahmed Hossam, one of the speakers in the National Dialogue Youth Session, mentioned, "We visited more than 108 universities and institutes to listen to the demands, problems, and challenges of the youth. This historic session is set to produce actionable recommendations that will benefit future generations."

He added that his participation in the National Dialogue was a dream come true, especially with President Sisi sponsoring this vital discussion. Hossam highlighted that among their primary demands are the establishment of a Supreme Council for Youth and the separation of youth activities from sports. He confidently stated, "Ministries will undoubtedly engage with universities to better understand the needs of the youth."

Malak Ashraf, another speaker, emphasized the critical role of student activities as a bridge between academic life and practical, real-world experience in various fields. She noted that they had taken serious steps to listen to the voices of the young to comprehend their needs. Ashraf pointed out, "We proposed facilitation in customs, bolstered support for activities, and introduced measures to assist students."

Hania Hisham, one of the discussants, shared that she recommended the establishment of a dedicated fund or association, overseen by the Ministry of Health, to serve health-related matters. "The youth session was fruitful, and we are hopeful the recommendations will yield positive outcomes," she stated.

Abdullah Armesh, another contributor, highlighted the challenges discussed around student regulations, among other topics aimed at politically empowering the youth. He emphasized the need for proper training and qualifying them by truly listening to their concerns and desires. Touching upon the role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he remarked, "Student union elections don't offer any programs to acquaint students with their activities, services, roles, and contributions."

Armesh concluded by emphasizing their commitment to the dialogue, "We participate in these sessions and visit universities driven by our love for the nation and our commitment to standing by our youth. We expect no return; it's an honor in itself."

The National Dialogue is a platform aiming to bridge the gap between the government and the citizens, ensuring that voices from all segments of society, especially the youth, are heard and addressed.
