CAIRO - 9 September 2023: The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, assured President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the European Union's continued support to Egypt in the field of food security.
 
She added on the X platform, "formerly Twitter," that she had discussed with President Sisi, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi, India, the "cooperation in the field of hydrogen and investments in energy infrastructure," describing Egypt as an "important partner" for the European Union.

Von der Leyen said that there is a good momentum in the relations between the two sides and that it must be continued.
 
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a number of side meetings on the sidelines of the G20 summit taking place in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
