CAIRO - 31 August 2023: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli opened on Thursday control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network in Cairo governorate in the presence of Local Development Minister Hisham Amba and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel A'l.

The newly launched control center will serve as a hub for coordinating various emergency services, including but not limited to police, fire, and medical emergencies. By centralizing these services, the government aims to improve their efficiency and responsiveness.

Local Development Minister Hisham Amba expressed that the center is in line with Egypt's broader strategy to advance its technological infrastructure for public safety. The centralized system is expected to facilitate better coordination among different levels of government, which is particularly crucial in a bustling city like Cairo with a population exceeding 9 million.

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel A'l mentioned that this is just one of the several steps Egypt is taking to completely overhaul its public safety mechanisms. New technology will be incorporated into the system as it evolves, keeping pace with global advancements in public safety solutions.

The inauguration of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center is a pivotal step in Egypt's journey toward modernization and enhanced public safety. As Cairo continues to grow and evolve, this new center is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of its residents. The initiative reflects the Egyptian government's commitment to adopting advanced solutions for the safety and security of its citizens.
