Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubeir confirmed Wednesday that the Kingdom's efforts are still ongoing to lift sanctions on Sudan.

In joint press statements with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour, al Jubeir stressed that Saudi Arabia is working with its partners in the region to solve Sudan's problem.

He added that the Kingdom communicated with the United States to improve Sudan's image and remove Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism, noting that talks among Saudi and Sudanese officials were constructive.
