CAIRO – 21 August 2023: Egypt’s Foreign Ministry shed light, Monday on the International Terrorism Victims Day, remembering all innocent victims of terrorism.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid wrote on his X account: “On Int’l Terrorism Victims Day, we remember innocent victims of terrorism..As we honour martyrs from civilians, armed & police forces, we reaffirm Egypt’s commitment to combating material, ideological terrorism and uphold values of peace, human Rights and Rule of Law.”

In its resolution 72/165 (2017), the General Assembly, established the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism to be commemorated annually on 21 August, in order to honor and support the victims and survivors of terrorism and to promote and protect the full enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms.
