CAIRO – 6 August 2023: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, will leave Cairo International Airport this evening, heading for Jordan, on an official visit, Egypt’s cabinet announced in a statement on Sunday.

 

Madbouly will head an Egyptian delegation to attend the 31st t session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee that would convene on Monday, the statement added.

 

The delegation includes Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker; Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tariq Al-Mulla; Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar; Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala Al-Saeed; Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat; Minister of Transport Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir; Minister of Trade and Industry Engineer Ahmed Samir; and Minister of Labor Hassan Shehata.

 

“This visit comes within the framework of the two countries' keenness to regularly convene the joint higher committee between Egypt and Jordan, headed by the two prime ministers, as an effective mechanism to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two [brotherly] countries,” the statement read.

 

A number of documents and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed on Monday in various fields, including health, vocational training, planning, media, insurance and social affairs.
