Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s participation in the second Russia-Africa Summit in Saint Petersburg was important.
Sisi’s speech during the summit conveyed a number of important messages that highlighted Egypt’s vision to deepen cooperation between Africa and Russia as part of their strategic partnership, the premier said.
The president underscored the importance of boosting cooperation with Russia in peace and security and pressed for activating the courses of economic development with a focus on infrastructure, agricultural industrialization and industrial transformation, Madbouli added.
He also pointed to the meeting between Sisi and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the fringe of the meeting of heads of Palestinian factions in New Alamein.
