CAIRO - 27 July 2023: Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat chaired one of the committees selecting female groups for the “Women Lead for Executive” program, which comes as part of the Women Leadership School initiated by the National Training Academy (NTA), alongside Walaa Fouad and Raghda Youssef.
The “Women Lead for Executive” is a program aimed to shed light on women in leadership positions. The program is designed to train women in leadership positions in the government and private sector between the ages of 22-50 through tests and cadres participation. It is led by different ministries, academic professionals, and specialists.
Executive Director of NTA Rasha Ragheb stated that the program prepares leading women cadres to lead, develop, and manage organizations properly.
Al-Mashat emphasized the government’s efforts in recognizing the significant role of women in society through multiple initiatives, including the launch of the National Strategy for Women Empowerment 2030 as part of Egypt’s Vision for 2030 to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ministry is also working towards increasing cooperation with international development partners to boost funding of women empowerment projects.
The minister praised the NTA’s efforts and the various programs aimed to enhance human resources and promote women's capabilities.
Through meetings and interviews of the program, a diverse, distinguished group of women cadres that are capable of assuming leadership positions were discovered. Due to the diverse educational and experience backgrounds, these women could contribute greatly in different fields.
In Al-Mashat's message to the participating women, she spoke of seeking opportunities, the significance of facing challenges, and working on both scientific and practical change to be able to enforce real change and contribute to the development of the Egyptian economy.
Ragheb explained that the selection process is very precise and takes place towards the end of the training program to ensure that the women are qualified for assuming high leadership positions whether in the government or private sector.
