CAIRO – 27 July 2023: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has attended the plenary session of the second Russia-Africa Summit held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Sisi is also participating in the Second Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which includes discussions on global economy, security integration and enhancement of sovereignty.

The forum also covers the axes of cooperation in science and information technology as well as humanitarian and social cooperation.

Sisi is set to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with heads of states and governments of African states, who chair regional economic gatherings in the presence of Sisi as the chair of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).

Sisi will deliver a speech during the meeting with Putin and the African leaders.

The Egyptian president will also participate in the reception ceremony that Putin will hold for the African leaders participating in the summit.

Sisi held bilateral talks with Putin on Wednesday upon his arrival to Russia, where they marked the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
