CAIRO – 19 July 2017: A high-level security delegation from the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) unit of the United Nations begins inspection of security measures at arrival and departure terminals in building No. 2 at Cairo International Airport (CIA) on Wednesday.

Security sources at the airport told Egypt Today that the delegation is comprised of six experts that will review the check-in procedures by all airlines operating the building, as well as monitoring the progression of passengers from the moment they enter the airport until they board their plane, including security screening and baggage checks.

The delegation will also inspect the security and entry measures at Gate 35 of Goods Village, which is dedicated to the entry of trucks and cargos.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CTC unit of the UN, CIA Company and various other security authorities the inspections to begin on Wednesday have not announced end date.
