CAIRO – 16 July 2023: Egypt announced that next Thursday and Sunday will be paid days off for public and private employees.

 

 The 20th of July 2023 and the 23rd of July will be considered official holidays on the occasion of the New Hijri Year [Islamic Year] and the anniversary of the 1952 revolution, respectively, according to a statement by the Ministry of Manpower.

 

The 23 July Revolution is a revolutionary movement led by a group of Egyptian army officers, known as the Free Officers Movement, which abolished the monarchy in Egypt in, 1952.

 

The employees already took a 6-day vacation at the beginning of July, starting from July 9  to 14 as Eid Al Adha holiday.
