Temperatures in Cairo, South Sinai to hit highs of 40 degrees next week

CAIRO – 13 July 2023: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects temperatures in Cairo and South Sinai to hit highs of 40 degrees over the coming week.

Temperatures in the northern coasts will remain in the mid-30s this week, while temperatures in northern Upper Egypt are expected to hit highs in the lower 40s.

Extremely hot weather will continue in southern Upper Egypt, reaching 46 by the end of the week, according to the EMA expectations.

Temperatures based on the EMA expectations this week:

- Cairo and Lower Egypt – Highs: 38

- Northern coasts – Highs: 35

- South Sinai – Highs: 43

- Northern Upper Egypt – Highs: 42

- Southern Upper Egypt – Highs: 45
