Egypt congratulates Sierra Leone president for re-election for 2nd term

CAIRO - 8 July 2023: Egypt congratulated Julius Maada for being re-elected as the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone for another term.

In a statement on Saturday, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said the re-election of President Julius Maada for another term reflects the awareness of the Sierra Leone's people.

He stressed Egypt's support for Maada to proceed with his efforts to meet his people's aspirations.

The spokesman highlighted the depth of the Egypt-Sierra Leone ties, noting that Egypt is looking forward to enhancing coordination visi-a-vis various issues of mutual concern.
