CAIRO - 19 July 2017: The Ministry of Environment said on Tuesday that it has dispersed a diesel spill that appeared over the surface of Nile River in Aswan.

In a statement, the ministry said Aswan water plants resumed operation and they are back to normal.

It is likely that the spill has been caused by a tourist cruise docking on the river banks, the ministry said, adding legal actions will be taken.

Water plants in Aburish and Baharis in Aswan have suspended work as a precaution measure after reports were received on the spill, the statement said.
