CAIRO - 7 June 2023: Marsa Matrouh International Airport received on Wednesday, a flight powered by AirCairo from Bratislava Airport in Slovakia carrying 176 tourists on board.
 
This is the first time that Marsa Matrouh International Airport receives charter flights from Slovakia, and the flight has been scheduled at 3 flights per week.
 
The number of tourist trips from Europe to Marsa Matrouh is expected to increase to 12 weekly. 
 
The trips are expected to fly from Italy, Czechia, Slovakia, Serbia as part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation's plan to activate air traffic and attract European tourism to all parts of the country.
