MPs delegation heads to Morocco to attend APU meetings

CAIRO – 18 July 2017: An Egyptian parliamentarian delegation headed Tuesday to Morocco to participate in the African Parliamentary Union (APU) meetings, held from Wednesday to Sunday.

The delegation which included parliament members, Hosni Hafez, Basem Fliefel and Mona Shaker will remain in Rabat until Sunday to discuss several issues, including the union’s budget and the legislative cooperation between the union’s members.

“The delegation is supposed to meet with several officials and leaders during its visit, including King Mohammed VI of Morocco to discuss several issues regarding the Middle East region,” parliamentary member Hosni Hafez told Egypt Today.

The union was first established in Abidjan on February 13, 1976, with the membership of 40 African countries.
