WARSAW, May 17 (MENA) - A total of 11.91 million refugees from Ukraine have crossed the border with Poland since the start of the Russian military operation there, Radio Poland said on Wednesday citing figures from Poland's Border Guard agency.

Nearly 22,100 refugees crossed the joint border into Poland over the past 24 hours, while 23,300 Ukrainians returned home Tuesday night, it added.

Russia announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
