In a press release, the Spanish embassy said Egypt's Higher Institute For Hotels & Tourism and the University of Córdoba organized the three-day event.

The embassy noted that this is the first time for Egypt to organize such an important cultural event in the history of the Egyptian-Spanish cultural cooperation.

The ambassador said both countries are interested in furthering bilateral cooperation.

A cluster of Spanish, Egyptian, American and European experts take part in the event which focuses on analyzing the challenges facing heritage tourism worldwide after the coronavirus pandemic.

The ambassador said that this event is the Egyptian version of Cigestur whose third edition will be held in Córdoba in November 2023.
