6 killed, 5 injured as building collapses in Egypt’s Alexandria

CAIRO – 14 April 2023: Six people were killed and five others were injured as a building collapsed in Wardian neighborhood, west of Alexandria, late on Thursday.

The death toll was announced after the end of the search operations carried out by the civil protection units following the collapse of the four-story building.

A demolition order was issued for the collapsed building in Ebeid Hassan Street in 2018, the executive authorities of West Alexandria district revealed, but the order was not implemented.
