Pics: Construction at Cairo station of express train

CAIRO - 11 April 2023: Construction of Cairo station of the express train is going around the clock to better serve the residents of Helwan and 15 May City and surrounding areas.

The major station is on the first line of Ain Sokhna-Alamein-Matrouh express train, which would travel from the east to the west of Egypt.

The station will also serve the southern region east of the Nile River through the first line of the express electric train. 

 

The first line is 660 kilometers long and includes 22 stations.

Of the 22 stations, 10 are new and designated for the high-speed train: Ain Sokhna - Administrative Capital - Cairo - October Gardens - Sadat City - Alexandria - Alamein - Dabaa - Ras El Hikma - Matrouh.

Fifteen regional stations already exist: Mohamed Naguib - Giza - El Ayat - Fayoum - Beni Suef - 6 October - Sphinx - Wadi El Natrun - Nubaria - Borg El Arab - Amreya - El Hamam - Sidi Abdel Rahman - Swan Lake - Almaza Bay.
