The visit will also shed light on regional and international developments, Abu Zeid added, noting that Shoukry will meet with the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias.

Shoukry will also meet with Dimitrios Copelouzos, the founding Chairman and Managing Director of the Copelouzos Group, to follow up on the progress made in implementing the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Greece.

Consultations on Egypt-Italy power linkage have been underway with Rome, a project that would turn Egypt into a bridge of electric transmission from Africa to Europe, said Ayman Hamza, spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity Sunday.

Meanwhile, the world’s largest power linkage project between Egypt, Greece, and Cyprus is in the stage of technical consultations and research exchange, Hamza told Egypt Today.
