CAIRO – 6 April 2023: Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Egypt and the Sultanate’s permanent representative to the Arab League Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi praised the achievements made in the New Administrative Capital like the governmental neighborhoods, the commercial and financial district, and Egypt's Islamic Cultural Center, which was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.

His praising came during a visit he made to the new capital where he met with Eng. Khaled Mahmoud Abbas, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development.

During the visit, Ambassador Al-Rahbi discussed the piece of land allocated for the project of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Diplomatic Quarter at the new capital.

On March 29, 2023, Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed the need for completing the gradual relocation of ministries to the New Administrative Capital, a Cabinet statement read.

A number of ministries already moved in full to the government district in the New Administrative Capital, Madbouly stressed during the weekly Cabinet meeting in the new capital.

He added that the procedures of ministries' relocation to the new capital will be periodically checked.

The New Administrative Capital, under construction since 2015, is located east of Cairo and is set to house millions of people when completed.

In more than one occasion, Sisi affirmed that the new capital will embody the values of modern Egypt and is set to receive more than 50,000 public employees working in the ministries and other state bodies.
