Egypt’s Sisi congratulates UAE’s President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on new leadership appointments

CAIRO – 31 March 2023: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Friday.

 

President Sisi congratulated Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on his new leadership appointments in the UAE, said Egyptian Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, in a statement.

 

 President Sisi expressed sincere wishes that this step would enhance the UAE's march towards greater prosperity and progress for its people, under the wise leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE.

 

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the brotherly gesture of President El-Sisi as well as the since wishes of the UAE's leadership and people for stability, security and progress in Egypt.

 

The UAE President appointed his eldest son, Sheikh Khaled, as a crown prince of Abu Dhabi, while his brother Sheikh Mansour was appointed as the Vice-President of the UAE alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.

 

UAE President Sheikh Al Nahyan said that his country is very proud to celebrate 50 years of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Egypt.

 

In a tweet, on October 26, 2022, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wrote: “We are very proud to celebrate 50 years of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Egypt. Together with my brother, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, we continue to strengthen and build upon these longstanding ties for the long-term benefit of our people and the region.”
