CAIRO – 20 March 2023: The House of Representatives, the lower house of the parliament, approved a government-drafted bill legalizing unlicensed industrial facilities, on Monday.

 

The final decision regarding the decision will be considered later.

 

According to the draft law, permits will be granted for temporary operating for a period of one year to unlicensed industrial facilities.

 

It authorized the Minister concerned with industry affairs to renew the aforementioned permits for two additional periods based on a proposal of the Public Authority for Industrial Development.

 

The owner of the industrial facility shall legalize it during the period of the temporary operation permit in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 15 of 2017 and the rules and procedures determined by the industry minister.

 

The bill aims at giving a productive service, and informational economic activities as they are basic components of the national economy.
