CAIRO- 17 March 2023: In the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, National Alliance for Civil Development Work will organize a mass celebration at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday.

The alliance celebrates the success of “Shoulder to Shoulder” initiative after dozens of volunteering groups and NGOs distributed 6 million boxes of basic food commodities to 20 million people nationwide, ahead of the holy Month of Ramadan.

A total of 300,000 volunteers for the alliance, beside other youths from different charities attend the mass celebration.

As part of the celebration, a line of charity convoys will depart from the stadium to other Governorates to continue distributing food assistance to the poor people.

Since the inauguration of the National Alliance for Civil Work, in March 2022, it has had a major role in enriching civil work, and provided an opportunity for partnership between civil society institutions to support the most needy groups.

The alliance has also devoted its efforts to achieving sustainable development goals through concerted societal efforts, especially after President El-Sisi declared 2022 as the year to civil society.

The National Alliance for Civil Development Action is the first alliance of its kind in Egypt. It includes the General Federation of Associations, all regional and specific federations, and the most prominent leading civil society institutions and associations with well-known efforts and successful experiences in helping the limited inside the country.
