CAIRO – 2 March 2023: On the 1st session of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting (G20FMM) in New Delhi on Friday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Mexico's Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, discussing bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual concern.

 

Both Ministers discussed the close ties between Egypt and Mexico, expressing their aspiration to improve economic relations between the two countries and increase the volume of investments, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.

 

The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, most notably the food crisis and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis on the international arena, Abu Zeid said.

 

The ministers also praised the cooperation between the two countries at the United Nations and international forums on many issues of common concern, most notably terrorism, human rights, disarmament, the environment, and cooperation in the field of recovering stolen antiquities.

 

The Spokesman revealed that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry reviewed the Egyptian vision regarding the recent developments in the Palestinian territories and the Egyptian efforts in this regard, Abu Zeid continued.
